DELL PRINTER DRIVER SETTING

Before installing any printer driver on the system, it’s recommended to first uninstall any previously existing connected printer, as this might create problem during new installation and might prevent the computer’s communication with the printer.

DOWNLOADING AND INSTALLING OF DELL PRINTER DRIVER.

1.Access the DELL DRIVERS AND DOWNLOADS website on your browser.

3.Under the OPERATION SYSTEM, select the drop-down menu and choose the operating system that is appropriate for your computer.

4.Search for the files that are listed as either APPLICATION or as DRIVERS FOR OS DEPLOYMENT.

5.Then you need to make note of one of the more FILE NAMES that is listed. You should know it once the downloading of the file is finished.

6.Make sure to tick mark the check box on the left of every file. Now click on DOWNLOAD ALL.

7.Depending on your browser, the downloading process might automatically start, or you might be asked to save/save the file.

8.Once the file gets downloaded, you will be given the option to access the downloaded folders by your browser.

9.Make a right-click on the driver file and then click on RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.

10.If this opens the USER ACCOUNT CONTROL window, select YES for starting the installation and follow the instructions on-screen for installing the printer driver. You will find the Installation instructions on how you can download and install the driver, at the bottom of the driver page.

9.      Make a right-click on the driver file and then click on Run as administrator.

10.    The User Account Control windows might pop-up. If the window appears, make a click on Yes for starting the process of Installation and then go on to follow the prompts that appear for installing the driver.

10.    Select or make a click on the tab of COMPATIBILITY.

11.    Make a click on the option of Change Settings For All Users.

12.    Make a click on the box located next to ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’.

13.    Choose the Operating system that matches the Operating system of the downloaded driver by using the drop-down menu.

14.    Make a click on Apply and then click on OK.

15.    Make a click on Ok again.

16.    Make a right-click on the driver file and then make a click on the option of Run as Administrator.

17.    Then the screen for User Account Control might get displayed here. If it does, make a click on the option Yes for starting the process of Installation and then go on to following the prompts that appear on your screen in order to install the firmware.
